Director Masterclass with Jafar Panahi
Making a film under any circumstances is an enormous undertaking. It is all the more remarkable that Jafar Panahi has created an incredibly incisive catalogue of films chronicling life in Iran, whilst being banned from doing so by the Iranian government and being threatened with imprisonment. He is also the only living filmmaker to have won the Palme d’Or at Cannes, the Golden Lion at Venice, and the Golden Bear at Berlin. Don’t miss this rare opportunity to hear from one of the great masters of world cinema in person, as they speak with curator Anke Leweke and take questions from you, the audience.
